Alexander hobbled as fast as he could into the house before slamming the door shut. He then proceeded to put the house into lockdown, shutting off every available exit and entrance and revoking anyone's right to just pop in and visit. Even Mel's. The house was completely cut off from the rest of the multiverse and it would remain so until he reopened. Which wouldn't be for a while, if he had anything to say about it.

Panting he slumped against the door, leaning his head back and moaning slightly. He felt horrible. Half himself. Caught and trapped. And it was all that stupid Sue's fault. He tugged uselessly at the pendent around his neck. "Oh gods... oh gods... I can handle this. Yes... where's Nick?" He staggered up, "Nick? NICK!" he bellowed out, hoping that the boy wasn't on the other side of the door. Hoping that he had come home already.

Limping, he started to the bedroom where he hoped that Nick was.

"Okay, enough with that. I don't want you coughing to death trying to stab her," he says, stopping Nick's spear with his own.

"I'm fine." Nick frowns. "I just need a drink of water and I'll be all right."

"You're not fine." He points to the wall, "Go, sit down. Take a breather."

Nick sits down, still trying to not cough.

"Cough boy. Holding it in isn't going to do you any good either," he grunted, putting away the dummy.

"I'm fine. Much better. Quite dandy."

"Of course you are," Alexander said coming to sit next to him. "You're a pretty little dandy."

Nick nods and leans on him, then coughs.

And wipes his mouth quickly. No, that isn't blood. At all.

He grabs the hand and looks at it, squeezing it just a bit to tightly. "Maybe we should find some other way to deal with her."

"No. I can do this. I want to kill her." He tries to twist his hand so that Alexander can't see the definitely-not-blood-really on his palm.

He tries, but isn't sucsessful. Alexander does see it. "You're coughing up blood! Nick! You can't do this if you're coughing up blood!"

"Yes, I can! She's hurting you! I need to!" Nick yanks his hand away.

"Then we'll wait until your capable of doing it."

"No. I can't wait that long. I want her dead." Nick's vehemence brings on another coughing fit, this one a lot worse.

"I don't care! I don't want to loose you. She already hurt you once, I don't want to give her another chance to hurt you again! I can stand the collar if it means giving you time to heal." He snaps back.

"I'm not getting better! I won't be getting better until I have that damn mark and that bitch isn't budging on her idiotic stance to not give it to me! She might take you away from me." Nick looks at him appealingly.

"No one is going to take me away from you. I won't let them. Not even Serentitel and her stupid collar."

Nick sighs. "I'm just scared you won't be able to stop her. And I know it's stupid. I just want to help."

Alexander pulled Nick into his lap, holding him tightly, "I know you do, Love. And I'm not saying you can't. I'm just saying we should exercise a little patience and thought. We need to be clever."

Nick coughs again. "I'll try being patient. Promise."

"We need a plan. She's caught me off guard twice now. It's getting embaressing."

"Lure her somewhere. Get her bells off. Stab her."

He murrmurs something that sounds like "that's my blood thirsty Nick" before saying out loud, "A good plan in theory, but it needs work in the details."

"Lure her to Ancelstierre. The charter wouldn't work there and neither would her bells."

"It would have to be deep into Ancelstierre, wouldn't it? Far away from the Wall?"
