Alexander hobbled as fast as he could into the house before slamming the door shut. He then proceeded to put the house into lockdown, shutting off every available exit and entrance and revoking anyone's right to just pop in and visit. Even Mel's. The house was completely cut off from the rest of the multiverse and it would remain so until he reopened. Which wouldn't be for a while, if he had anything to say about it.

Panting he slumped against the door, leaning his head back and moaning slightly. He felt horrible. Half himself. Caught and trapped. And it was all that stupid Sue's fault. He tugged uselessly at the pendent around his neck. "Oh gods... oh gods... I can handle this. Yes... where's Nick?" He staggered up, "Nick? NICK!" he bellowed out, hoping that the boy wasn't on the other side of the door. Hoping that he had come home already.

Limping, he started to the bedroom where he hoped that Nick was.

"Let's go get Serenitiel, then. I'll stay here."

Nick takes a seat by a bush.

Alexander looks confused, standing and staring at something.

"What's wrong?" Nick looks up.

"I can't find the way out..."

"What? Why not?" Nick stands up and comes next to Alexander.

He shakes his head and tugs at the pendent. "It's all fuzzy."

Worried look. "...you can't get back?"

"No... I can't." He sounds worried and tugs at the pendent irritably.

"Bugger." Nick wraps an arm around Alexander. "What do we do now?"

"Give me time. I just need to focus," he said, squeezing Nick against him.

"Right." Nick leans against him and waits.

Alexander lets his mind wander, actually. It's the best way his powers work. When they aren't being contained. There's a lot of Mmmm Nick that flickers through his thoughts, with the other's weight against him. But eventually his mind drifts into that chaotic state where everything is open to him, like a book. He starts too look around and eventually finds the threads he needs. "Ah... there we go," he murrmurs.

Nick tries not to cough too loudly, for fear of distracting him.

He reaches out and twist the right threads and a doorway appears. "I shall be back. Do be careful."

"Of course." Nick gives him a hug. "Be careful."

There's a hug and a kiss. "Always. I love you." Said in case he won't be able to say it later.

"I love you too." Nick returns to his waiting spot.

And Alexander steps through the doorway to look for the Sue.

Nick should have brought some water. He's coughing quite hard.

Time passes. Quite a bit of time.

Then the doorway opens up again and a wolf limps out.

Nick looks up and dives behind the bush, spear in hand.

A girl follows the wolf, and she looks around hesitantly. She looks like Serentitel's ugly sister. For she's a lot plainer, less busty, and seems... well... more human and less sparkly. She's not wearing the bandolier of bells either. She seems hunched over and rather scared.

"Why are we here again, Zander?" she asks, looking around.

Alexander sits down and scratches an ear, quietly musing if he has fleas or not. "To show you something."
