Alexander hobbled as fast as he could into the house before slamming the door shut. He then proceeded to put the house into lockdown, shutting off every available exit and entrance and revoking anyone's right to just pop in and visit. Even Mel's. The house was completely cut off from the rest of the multiverse and it would remain so until he reopened. Which wouldn't be for a while, if he had anything to say about it.

Panting he slumped against the door, leaning his head back and moaning slightly. He felt horrible. Half himself. Caught and trapped. And it was all that stupid Sue's fault. He tugged uselessly at the pendent around his neck. "Oh gods... oh gods... I can handle this. Yes... where's Nick?" He staggered up, "Nick? NICK!" he bellowed out, hoping that the boy wasn't on the other side of the door. Hoping that he had come home already.

Limping, he started to the bedroom where he hoped that Nick was.

Yes. It's a good thing they're being resolute or else they would have degraded completely into sex. But Alexander keeps his mind on business and is soon dressed. He has a cane, for his limp. "How do I look?"

"Very stylish." Nick is also dressed! Hurray for will-power.

"Thank you." He twirls the cane around, before heading out to the front door, "You're going to have to open the door this time, as I have no idea what your Uncle's Estate is like."

"Right." Nick opens the door into the back part of the estate, a fairly remote corner with a stand of trees and some fields.

"Pretty," he sighs stepping out into the sunshine. He limps around poking around at the trees and bushes thoughtfully.

"It really is. Do you think it's suitable?"

"Yes. Hide you in some of the bushes and have her walk on by..." he makes a stabbing motion with the cane.

Nick grins. Lots of grinning.

It's not very nice grinning, though.

"Well, then, we're done here, aren't we?"

"Yes, we are..." he blinks.

"Let's go get Serenitiel, then. I'll stay here."

Nick takes a seat by a bush.

Alexander looks confused, standing and staring at something.

"What's wrong?" Nick looks up.

"I can't find the way out..."

"What? Why not?" Nick stands up and comes next to Alexander.

He shakes his head and tugs at the pendent. "It's all fuzzy."

Worried look. "...you can't get back?"

"No... I can't." He sounds worried and tugs at the pendent irritably.

"Bugger." Nick wraps an arm around Alexander. "What do we do now?"

"Give me time. I just need to focus," he said, squeezing Nick against him.

"Right." Nick leans against him and waits.

Alexander lets his mind wander, actually. It's the best way his powers work. When they aren't being contained. There's a lot of Mmmm Nick that flickers through his thoughts, with the other's weight against him. But eventually his mind drifts into that chaotic state where everything is open to him, like a book. He starts too look around and eventually finds the threads he needs. "Ah... there we go," he murrmurs.
