Alexander stood in front of his increasingly organized book shelves in the main room with the sudden dawning realization that he had no idea where anything was any more. Before he never knew where anything was, but he had some vague notion as to where to look. Now he had no vague notion nor any idea where to look. It was rather vexing. Part of him wanted to go through the shelves and unorganize them, but he stopped himself. Nick had been working hard on the books and it wouldn't be fair to the boy to undo all his work.

Especially since he set the boy on the task in the first place.

Who knew that getting organized would be so frustrating?

There's a crackling of power that flows over Alexander crawling like lightening as he forces himself to switch from Free Magic creature to human to chaotic embodiment. Something snaps and he collapses weakly. "Ow."

Nick pulls his hand away, but then crouches next to him.

"Alexander? Are you all right?" Panicked? Nick? Slightly.

"I will be. Still sorting myself out." This is said into the dirt, as he hasn't gotten the energy just yet to look up.

Strangely, the Sue's body seems to have vanished.

Nick frowns and rubs his head vaguely. Quite a lot of stuff landed on it.

He wanders back to the shelf wreckage and pulls a jar out of the mess. "I found the shard."

Ah, he's sitting up now and flexing his fingers, making sure his fingers are fingers. Yes, they are fingers. Head, shoulders, knees, toes... yes they all seem to be there too.

"Good. And I think I know what I am now."

"Good. Can we go home now?" Nick's head hurts really badly.

"Yes. Please." He staggers up, shaking off the after effects of the bells' influence. "We'll get that head of yours looked at."

"Please. And you, too. Are you hurt?" Nick moves to offer an arm to Alexander.

The arm is taken and a finger is wiggled in an ear. "No... not really. I just thought I was a free magic creature for a while. Very different way of looking at things, they have."

"I'm sure they do. I'm glad you're back to normal you, though."

"Me too. That was not fun." And he gestured out, tracing the outlines of a door in the air. The outlines glimmered and then formed into a portal. "And homeward bound we go."

"Lovely." Nick walks inside with a gasp of relief.

Alexander wobbles in after him, still a bit unstead on his feet as his body isn't quite convinced of his knees being where they should be and that his feet were facing the right direction.

Nick helps him to the couch as quickly as he can.

He slumps on the couch. "Two knees... forward facing feet... hands... right then. I can do this."

"You're going to be all right." Nick won't accept anything less.

"Yes. I am. I'm going to be fine, once my body stops thinking it's an amorphus energy blob like thing."

"Which will happen soon, I'm sure." In the meantime, Nick leans back and winces when his head touches couch.

Alexander puts his hand on Nick's head, gently feeling around for the bump. When he finds it, his hand becomes rather cold. "As I've stopped thinking that I'm an amorphus energy being, my body will come around shortly"

"Oh, that's much better." Nick leans into his hand.

"Yes. Another one of my hidden talents, human ice pack. I'm just full of all sorts of fun surprises."

"I knew I loved you for a reason." Purrrrrr.

"And here I thought it was because of my dashing good looks and ability in the bedroom. It's nice to know I'm appreciated for more than my body." He's talky and feeling a little punch drunk.

"I appreciate everything." He snuggles closer.

"Even my toes? Mm... this armor isn't good for snuggling in and you're being all snuggly."
