There was smoke. There was also a loud whoop, a holler and then Alexander came running back into the house, slamming the door shut. He slumped against the door, laughing and panting, a wide, wide grin on his face. He was cut and bleeding in several different places, bruised in others, and looked as if someone had tried to set him on fire at one point. In his hands was a book.

"Oh gods... I haven't had that much fun in AGES!" he said out loud to the house in general. Trey, who was laying on the couch, looked at him and gave him an annoyed chirrup. "It was fun. I enjoyed every second of it."

Trey flipped his wings, annoyed and went back to his nap.

"I'm sure it was." Nick curls up, not quite leaning on him.

"Though the Clayr certainly didn't like me," he says, touching his nose gingerly.

"Sam said they wouldn't. Does it hurt badly?"

"No more than the rest of me does. It was certainly worth it though. I'll have to go back there and explore another time. So much shiny stuff."

Nick laugh/coughs. "You're incorrigible."

"Mmm... that's why you love me, isn't it?" He kisses Nick on his cheek.

"Part of it, yes."

There is nuzzling and he pulls Nick against him, hissing only a little at the pain in his side. "And the rest?"

"You're attractive, intelligent, and good in bed." And there was purring. Quiet purring.

"And you are attractive, intelligent and good in bed as well." He wraps an arm around Nick, stroking his chest and generally being very warm, if not fuzzy.

"Mmhmm. Of course." Nick coughs a little, leaning probably a bit heavier than he should against Alexander.

"Why aren't you in bed?" He asks, holding him close.

"It got terribly tedious."

"You haven't been roaming around too much, have you?"

"...I went to the Nexus? That was all." Nick looks a little guilty.

He grunts. It's hard to tell if it's a good grunt or a bad grunt or a thoughtful grunt. It's a very grunty grunt.

Alexander holds him close. "You didn't get into any trouble, I hope?"

"Why does everyone keep mentioning me and trouble?"

"Because I know you? And you seem to attract it?"

Nick pouts. "I'm hurt."

"I'm sorry love, but it's true," Alexander says kissing him on the head.

"Truth hurts." He sighs gustily and goes into another coughing fit.

"I should probably go back to bed."

"Yes, you should." There is a reluctant letting go of Nick. "I want you well."

"I want you." Nick stretches slightly and gets up, heading for the bedroom.

Alexander follows him, with a limp. "I want you too. Gods do I want you. The utter control not to take you is driving me insane."

"We probably shouldn't talk about it. It will just make it worse."

"You existing makes it worse," he grumbles.

"Terribly sorry." Nick curls up on the bed.

Alexander stomps around the room, changing out of his clothes and getting his wounds taken care of. It looks like he'll have a few new scars to add to his already impressive collection.

Nick is too tired to do anythign but watch and look worried.

He eventually crawls into the bed, shoving Nick over a little before snuggling up to him.

Nick snuggles back.
